River Flowing Strongly at Mouth of the Margaret River  26/6/2010

Pleased be advised that the Margaret River has broken through the sand bar at its mouth and is now flowing strongly .  Crossing the river anywhere near its mouth could pose a real danger of being swept out to sea.   Walkers are strongly advised to take the diversion route along Caves Road rather than risk crossing.   Phone DEC on 97316232 for further advice if required.
